The sea is rising, and so are we! This course engages with contemporary oral, print, and digital literature by francophone activists whose communities are directly affected by climate change. From Africa to Oceania, francophone eco-warriors have challenged the capitalist imperative to malignant growth. This decolonial ecology promotes alternative pathways for regenerating both exploited lands and marginalized communities, in the francophone world and beyond.
