Prerequisites: Intermediate-high proficiency (FFW or FFH placement or equivalent). Motivated students currently enrolled in Intermediate French (420:132) may request a requirement override, also needed for student who placed above FFW:
Course Description: This mini-course offers students a unique and innovative opportunity to share their interest in French language and culture through the creation of an online magazine for K-12 audiences. The project combines news articles, interviews, contests, and other journalistic features to inform, educate, and entertain young readers. Students will use their linguistic and cultural knowledge, along with creativity, to collaborate on this pioneering initiative. In the process, they will strengthen their writing skills, engage with current events, and practice French in an authentic communicative context.
