Advising Hours

Before advising think seriously about your career goals, the general requirements of your college, and the most interest courses you can find to meet both general and major requirements. When you meet with your advisor, bring a list of questions and possible courses. The purpose of advising is to discuss where you want to go and how best to get there. Plan ahead for coherence in both your major and elective course selections. Your advisor will likely have questions and suggestions for you, but this can only be fruitful if you have first organized your own thinking. Advising is now done on a walk-in basis: please stop in at your convenience. We really do want to get to know you and help you; we look forward to seeing you at various events, lectures, and activities of the French community. General information is also available at the department office in the Ruth Adams Building, Room 103.
