Maren Daniel received her B.A. from Saint Olaf College in 2007. She spent the 2007-2008 academic year as an assistante de langue in Nîmes, France, and the following year in Miranda de Ebro, Spain. Since coming to Rutgers in 2009, Maren has earned her M.A. (2011), served as Head TA, and taught on the Summer in Paris Program. She spent the 2013-2014 academic year as a pensionnaire étrangère at the ENS in Paris. Her dissertation, written in co-tutelle with Paris III, examines literary portraits of standard and non-standard linguistic usage in the decades surrounding the creation of the French Academy.
